I’m planning on doing a Higher Diploma in Education in Ireland. Is it possible for me to teach in Northern Ireland with this qualification or is there any specific training that I have to do after I have done my HDipEd?
Thanks!

My initial gut response is “why not”, but just like in the USA, each “state” has its own requirements for teaching primary school, so you likely need to contact the Board of Education in Northern Ireland and see if your certification to teach is reciprocal. You might even check with your local Board of Education, as this question has likely come up before. Good luck.
