I’m planning a trip to Scotland in October and have an arrival at Edinburgh Airport. I’ll use a taxi to get to my hotel and after spending a few days in Edinburgh, I would like to hire a car and spend some time on a driving tour.

I understand Edinburgh is difficult to navigate, so should I plan to return to the airport to pick up, or would it be better to just pick up at Waverly Station?

Also, any thoughts on local companies (ie: AutoEurope, etc.) vs. a global company such as Avis or Hertz?

Thanks!

S.

I need to get some parcels of books shipped from New York to Ireland on a regular basis for a small business I am running. Time is not a factor. I just need to get the parcels of books from New York to Ireland as cheaply as possible. Companies such as DHL and United Parcels are expensive. Thanks, Nora.

I am planning my first trip to Scotland and my first destination will be the east coast (Dunnottar, Stonehaven, etc.) Would love to chat with folks about your beautiful country! What do you like best & least about living there?

I am not interested in the online sites.
