Another video from the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival, 2010, held at Bannerman Park in St John’s. It was the closing number at the banjo workshop presented by five masters of the instrument. This well-known country gospel song about the death, funeral, and mourning of the narrator’s mother was popularised by the singing of The Carter Family. The chorus comes from the hymn, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?” which was written in 1907 by Ada R. Habershon, with words by Charles Gabriel. The version recorded by the Carter family in 1935 is generally attributed to AP Carter though it is probably based on an earlier recording by Frank Welling & John McGhee (1930). In that version the title was changed to “Can the Circle…” The Carter Family version has been covered by many artists, including The Staple Singers, John Fahey, Roy Acuff, Joan Baez, The Chieftains, John Lee Hooker, Bill Monroe, Bernice Reagon, Pentangle, Arlo Guthrie, Willie Nelson, Jeff Buckley, Johnny Cash and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. However, most cover versions of the song revert to the original title on which this song was based – “Will the Circle be Unbroken?” – as does this one. The artists here are Allan Ricketts, who begins with a rendition of the Kesh Jig, Old Man Luedecke, Ray McLain, Leroy Troy and Rik Barron. I can’t find a straight answer for this. Is the Celtic Triquetra (trinity knot) with an interwoven circle specifically Christian, or can it also be Pagan? I plan on getting it tattooed, but I don’t want to get a symbol for which I was wrong about the meaning.

I know that it is used in Charmed, but I don’t want to base my decision off TV.
I am not asking the meaning of the Triquetra. I am talking about the knot with a single circle woven through the arches. I can only find that form in reference to the Holy Trinity, but would like to know if it can still have a Pagan meaning.

Does anyone know the meaning of the 4 point circle knot? Example of one here…http://cgi.ebay.com/Irish-Celtic-4-Point-Circle-Knot-Ster-Silver-Earrings_W0QQitemZ350057050060QQihZ022QQcategoryZ43196QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Up on Stanton moor lies a circle of stones, On Saturday the 4th August in 2008 the Derbyshire Pagans had there Pagan Camp at Birchover. North of the camp about 15 minutes of a truly magical walk you enter a birch forest and in the middle lies the Nine Ladies Stone Circle. It is a place of shear beauty a place where fantasy began. This was my first trip to a stone circle, and my mind was blown away by the powers of the land. it is so quiet up ther, in the distance you could hear the disant drums from the pagan camp. words can not describe what this place feels like, it is a place of many songs and storys.. so magickal… The song that is playing i thought would be most fitting. it is called The Hills They Are Hollow and by an artist call Damh The Bard www.paganmusic.co.uk I hope you Like this video. Peace all and Blessed Be!

If so does anyone know a site that show a picture of it?
