I wrote this acoustic song in 1990, for my feelings about returning home to scotland as an older man. I wrote it for Clan Fraser, and the Family/Clan sentiment that drives so mush of my life and who I am. I wrote it for the memory of my father, and what I perceive as a tragic loss for him in his life when he chose to pursue his love with alcohol, and absent himself from our Family and Clan due to that. I wrote it to make my own statement about standing in place of him in that. He has been persuaded by David Huxley to return to Brigadoon on April 17 to give us a real Battle of Champions! Defending the current title will be Aaron Monks (185cm and 110kgs) who won for the first time in 2009 against Craig Reid (185cm and 127kgs). Craig had held the title for three consecutive years.
