Christmas Dinner Recipe: Roast Potatoes – Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without perfect crispy roast potatoes. I use a delicious blend of Scottish rapeseed oil and seasoning to give a slightly nutty flavour. Ingredients * 1 bag potatoes * Rock salt * Black pepper * Rapeseed oil Method 1. Peel and par (or partly) boil potatoes for 45 minutes until slightly soft. 2. Pat dry. 3. Place potatoes on a roasting tray covered in rapeseed oil, black pepper and rock salt. The potatoes will soak up oil. Leave for ten minutes then turn. 4. Roast in oven at a low heat for an hour before serving. Christmas Dinner Recipe: Cranberry and Plum Sauce – Every Christmas dinner deserves the sharp tangy flavour of fresh cranberry sauce, made that little bit special with the addition of some plums and a dash of port. To create the perfect accompaniment follow the recipe below. Ingredients * 250g cranberries (fresh) * 340g plums in syrup * 2 oranges (zested and juiced) * 1 cinnamon stick * 1 tsp all spice powder * 2 tbsp caster sugar * Generous splash of port Method 1. Combine all of the above and simmer for 1 hour until thick and sticky — add more port if required. You could add more sugar as well if you find this too tart but we are not trying to make cranberry jam here; the tartness works well against the richness of the turkey and ham. 2. Remember to watch over the sauce as it cooks, stirring every so often, so that it doesn’t stick. 3. When sauce is ready take off heat and allow to cool before transferring to a serving dish. I have these packs to make indian chicken recipes. I was going to make basic white rice, two types of chicken and just some spinach sauteed in garlic. For beer, he likes New Castle.

Is this something that would make a man happy? Enough food and all? Sometimes, the food I cook for myself, a man looks at and wonders where is the main course.

Is anyone here English?

Gourmet Food is classy and elegant cuisine that is great for dinner parties and entertaining guests. It is rich in flavor, delicious, and provides a beautiful aesthetic. In addition, gourmet food baskets are an excellent choice for gifts to family and friends. There are numerous types of gourmet foods ranging from simple cheese and crackers to smoked meats and smoked salmon. Deciding on the perfect gourmet food depends largely on your palate as well as the desired presentation.

With its smoky and buttery taste, smoked salmon is always a favorite and tastes wonderful in any variation. The Norwegian Smoked Salmon is for those who wish for a strong, smoky and intense flavor. Produced by the Norwegians, generously trimmed portions of salmon are hand-cured with a mixture of sugar and salt and slowly smoked. The result is a filet of velvet-smooth texture, a smoky and subtly salty flavor, and a beautiful peach color. For those with the most discerning palates, the Balyk Cut is the most exclusive and desired salmon filet.

Furthermore, The Hot Smoked Norwegian Salmon is not only intense, but also provides a very rich and flaky texture that melts in your mouth. The Hot Smoked Salmon can be served as a main dish or an appetizer and is very different from its chilled counterpart. Due to its hearty nature, this salmon is much thicker and much more filling that the Norwegian Smoked Salmon.

In contrast, the Scottish Smoked Salmon is tender, delicate and smooth. Categorized as the most popular salmon in the world, the Scottish Smoked filet is less smoky and more subtle than the Norwegian cuts. Characterized by its orange-pink color and delicate flesh, the Scottish Salmon can be reserved for some of your finest entertaining.

In addition, the little known dill- rubbed Gravadlax Scottish Salmon is listed as a favorite with many gourmet food stores. This delicacy is becoming increasingly popular throughout the gourmet food circuit. The salmon is marinated in a unique mixture of salt, sugar, and dill that is hand-rubbed, cleaned, and slowly smoked, creating a rich and unparalleled flavor. Suggested pairing is a dill mustard sauce.

Although there are numerous varieties of gourmet food, wine and cheese pairings have been timeless and classic parts of the gourmet food family. In addition, they are a sophisticated addition to a salmon appetizer or meal. With over 350 types of cheese offered by many food stores, the options are limitless. However, following some simple suggestions on appropriate pairings will ensure that your cheese board is stylish and memorable.

Some of the most popular gourmet cheeses and their wine pairings include: Swiss with Anti Spumanti, Blue with Port, Boursin with Gewürztraminer, Brie with Sweet Sherry, Mild Cheddar with Chardonnay, Strong Cheddar with Cabernet, Feta with Beaujolais, Gouda with Riesling, Havarti with Bordeaux, Muenster with Zinfandel, Provolone with Chardonnay, and Gorgonzola with Sauternes.

A dinner party is not complete without a little dessert. There are numerous selections of desserts and chocolates to choose from. Dessert provides a decadent ending to the evening. Although it is difficult to go wrong with any type of dessert, some of the most popular include: chocolate truffles, German marzipan, tarts, cheesecakes, and mousses.

Gourmet food is a rich, silky, and decadent way to host a party or send a special gift. Some of the most popular foods include: smoked salmon, wine, and cheeses. Providing an array of these items will not disappoint even the most sophisticated palate.

When the weather heats up, the last thing you want is to be spending hours in a hot kitchen!  But with a little meal planning, you can produce an array of inspiring summer dinner recipes, as well as summer picnic recipes, summer dessert recipes and healthy breakfast recipes.

Make the most of simple chicken recipes

Instead of roasting one chicken, do two oven baked whole chickens at the same time – one lot of washing up, but a number of chicken leftover meals.  This month, the  chicken is roasted with a garlic, orange and rosemary rub.  This can be oven roasted or cooked on the barbecue.  There are three great recipes for leftovers:  an updated version of Chicken a la King, with roasted red bell peppers and toasted almonds or a Chicken and Pasta Bake.  Then there is a delectable Phyllo Triangles recipe filled with chicken and nuts.  Still in barbecue mode, there is a great Chicken Kebabs Recipe.

Give Vegetable Salad Recipes a new spin

Get creative with salads and fresh seasonal produce.  There are two spinach salad recipes:  one a Spinach Salad with Feta, Beetroot and Toasted Almonds (with Basil Dressing) and the other is a Warm Spinach Salad with Slivered Lamb and Roasted Butternut.  You need very little lamb steak for this recipe.  Similarly, you need a small amount of steak for the refreshing Beef Stir Fry Recipe – the bulk of the recipe is made up with healthy vegetables, so it is light and nutritious.

Start the day with Healthy Breakfast Recipes

Start your day with a Raspberry Smoothie Recipe or a Corn Muffin Recipe (this is also great with a barbecue).  For a more decadent breakfast, you could serve Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins.

Have some Summer Picnic Recipes up your sleeve

Again, Corn Muffins are ideal for a picnic.  And what about Baked Scottish Eggs or Chicken Liver Pate?  A Roast Vegetable Quiche or Meatball Sub Recipe? All are easily transported and make a change from the usual sandwiches.

Summer Dessert Recipes

What would summer be without ice-cream?  And more specifically ice-cream by way of Cassata Cake? You can make the most of summer berries by incorporating raspberries in the Easy Apple Crisp Recipe.  And, of course, there is an easy Fruit Salad Recipe.
