Macular Degeneration: Help I’m Losing My Vision… Now What?
While helping my friend research his family history for his tree, I came across names from the 1400′s that would go, for example, John MaThew to Daffydd ap MaTThew (why t>tt?) and his father would be Matthew ap Isuan, and his father Isuan ap Gruffydd. Does this make sense that the surname would change?
i have to write a paper on this 600 book that should be like a textbook but my professor wants like the main points the author brings up. the paper is due wednesday and i dont think i have enough time to finish it. did anyone read it or can help me find an outline or summary of it? thanks so much. <3
In this it is similar to The secret of roan Inish except this was from mid-to-late 70′s or Early 80′s and it is animated and it was drawn in the same style as the last unicorn
I think it was a made-for-tv-movie
near the end the woman find her seal skin and returns home to a paradise within a secluded mountain or volcano where there are many selkies sunbathing
Rosalie K. Fry wrote The Secret of Ron Mor Skerry (secret of roan inish) in 1959 so this was def a movie about that book- many years before the 1994 live-action movie came out
I am working on a family tree. My cousin gave me a very old copy of a family tree going back to the 1600′s. It’s very difficult to read so I am trying to put the info I can read/understand into my computer.
For one ancestors info it says:
Johny Green married Abigail Morton on April 11, 1724 (then it gets confusing)
In Bally Hagen Marjallon, N. Ireland
i can’t find anything on the internet about these places. are they spelled wrong? Can you make any sense of it?
Well, it may not have been called Northern Ireland back then…..however, that is where my ancestors lived…….the Northern part of Ireland. Most everything else on the family tree mentions Antrim, Ireland. It is just this one location I am stuck on. Therefore I’m thinking they wrote this part wrong. If I can’t figure out what the correct info is, I will remove it from the family tree.
i am making celtic cross necklaces out of wire. i have found several good pics on the interntet, but i need better patterns with interlocking designs (so i dont have to cut the wire much). i would appreciate any ideas or sites. also, i bought 16 gauge wire, but im not sure if 18 would be better. help would be appreciated. thanks
I’m writing a fictional novel filled with creatures based in real folklore in all origins. Anything from the Scottish Banshee to the Danish hollow-back fairy. Anything on any lore based creature you can give me to research would be great. Thank you.
I want to visit Glasgow Scotland as soon as possible. I am looking for a reference calendar of events during the winter tourism in Glasgow. Thank goodness you who have provided the information.
I remember the main character was a girl who was unaware that she is a selkie until the last couple of chapters in the book. I remember a really distinct part of the book about some sort of ritual that the young men and women would break open pieces of peat moss and the strands of color in the peat moss was supposedly the color of hair that their future husband/wife would be…but other than that the details are really murky. Please help, I remember that I really really loved this book when I read it but I cannot remember the author or the title. Thank you!
