Here’s a few things I’ve heard Americans say about the UK while I’ve been over there:

“The Beatles come from there, right?”
“You guys still have a queen, right?”
“The English, they live in castles, right?”

And one very specific one, when I told these three girls I was not British, but instead came from Ireland.

So Im going on holiday to Ireland on Thursday to see my boyfriend. I don’t know what clothes I need to pack!

Does anyone know what the weather is like?

Its in the Republic of Ireland by the countryside.

I am travelling to Ireland on a working holiday visa, and will need a bank account for work ect, what documents will be need?
I am planning on living in a share house so my names wont be on the bills. I have drivers licence, bills from home, and a passport, will that be enough?

My mum and I are taking a 2 week holiday in June 2011.
We want to spend a week in Ireland and a week in Scotland.

Of course we’re not planning on staying in 5 star hotels and eating at gourmet restaurants every day but we would like to be comfortable.

I’ve done some research and accommodation seems to be fairly inexpensive. And our flights are taken care of.

I’d just like to know if 6000 pounds would be enough for those 2 weeks or even 3 weeks…
