I’m writing an essay on the third Home Rule legislation, and I can’t find at exactly what year or what events caused the Unionists to really just want to keep Ulster into the United Kingdom, and let southern Ireland have Home Rule?
Thanks so much!
I just got a 12 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the only thing that really bothers me is how much this puppy eats. He isn’t aggressive when he eats, he just eats really, really fast and no matter how much food I put for him he eats all of it then goes to the food bag and begs for more. The breeder said to feed him 1/2 a cup of food twice a day, but as active as this puppy is I know that is too little. I don’t want to cause him to be overweight, but I also don’t want to starve the poor thing.
I am looking for an answer from someone who either has corgis or knows a lot about them. ![]()
Thanks!

I’ve found quite a few Scottish Shortbread Cookie recipes. I want a recipe that is close to Lorna Doone’s cookie. Thanks.
Also, in Scotland, is it legal for people under the age of 18 to sit in a pub and order and drink only soft drinks?
Like say I listen to Van Morrison’s astral weeks album or some peaceful music like the Chieftains or Phil Coulter or something like Mozart or Beethoven. I know people say listening to music distracts you, but I think they’re talking about music like Slipknot, 50 cent, and loud music, right? So if I listen to peaceful music that relaxes me would this hinder my studying ability or improve it?
Pinehurst golf vacations can offer you a bit more than just playing golf. Although it is not designed to provide the same family entertainment that Myrtle Beach is capable of, Pinehurst offers a choice of golf schools and a choice of entertainment and sports for the younger family members.
Pinehurst is close to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, and is best known for its golf. With around 5000 inhabitants, Pinehurst has eight main championship golf courses with a total of over forty in the surrounding area. It also boasts several good golf schools and academies, and is an excellent choice for a golf vacation.
Pinehurst Offers a Number of Sporting Options
If your family does not share your love of golf, Pinehurst offers a number of different sporting options. It is an equestrian area, and many equestrian activities are available such as horse riding and lessons, horse jumping and so on. There are many lakes nearby and boating, canoeing and other water sports are offered. Fishing and hunting are popular, but perhaps not with the younger children. They may prefer tennis and there is also carting and bowling nearby.
Should the family want something offering more in the way of holiday fun, Myrtle Beach with its great beaches and funfairs is only a short trip away, and the nightlife at Myrtle Beach is superb.
There’s an Affinity between Pinehurst and Scotland
However, it is for the golf that people vacation in Pinehurst, and several packages are available to suit individuals, groups and family groups. The village is where Ben Hogan won his first pro tournament, and the first courses were designed by, or modified by, the great Scottish course designer, Donald Ross. There is great Scottish tradition in Pinehurst any many Scots feel an affinity with the town.
The golf schools in Pinehurst include The Pinehurst Golf Academy where you can make bookings for a golf school vacation from March to November, which is great way of getting some golf in while improving your game. You can use them to get some badly needed tuition in the fall so you are ready for the new season in the spring. It’s a great alternative to a summer golfing vacation.
If your whole family loves golf, Pinehurst would make a great vacation and the food is excellent with Japanese and other forms of international cuisine as well as the traditional American fare. You could try some Mexican for a change, though the kids might prefer a burger or hot dog.
Pinehurst Offers Golf Schools for the Beginners
You can get special family deals on the courses, and there are plenty of practice facilities available. The golf schools are good for the complete beginners in your group, but make sure you book places well in advance. The Nike Golf School is a form of camp and is great of the younger children. If you book your youngsters into the Nike camp to learn the game, and yourself and your partner into a Pinehurst resort, you get the best of both.
You both enjoy your golf, while your youngsters enjoy the camp while learning how to play. It won’t be long till they are joining you on the big courses on your next golfing vacation. Pinehurst golf vacations have a lot to offer if you think about what there is and use the resources to your best advantage.
