My boyfriend is Irish and his family still follows a few old traditions. Particularly, I heard about an Irish tradition where the male’s wedding band is put above their head and it’s supposed to move. The way it moves is supposed to tell them how many children they will have and it they will be girls or boys, or something like that… Is this true? Also, what do Irish celtic rings mean exactly when they’re given to you… ? If you know of any other interesting Irish traditions, be sure to share them with me. =)

I just need to get the parcels of books from New York to Ireland as cheaply as possible. Companies such as DHL and United Parcels are expensive. Thanks, Nora.

I’ve been searching for this one particular song for ages and I still haven’t found it. From what I remember the song was about two lovers where the girl’s father didn’t approve of her lover. One night as the girl was waiting by her window, her lover came and they took off on a horse. But it so happens that her lover already died and he brought her to his grave where she left a red kerchief.
I’m not quite sure if I remember everything correctly but I hope someone knows the title of this song..
