I am considering taking a holiday there.
Back in the day, when there was free land and small villages living on there own. Kind of like “the Shire” from Lord of the Rings and things like that.

Does anyone know any really cool Irish and Scottish mythological characters? I’m really interested in finding out more about folklore and mythology from the emerald isle and and the land of scots. Anything would be helpful. Thank you!
I want to visit Glasgow Scotland as soon as possible. I am looking for a reference calendar of events during the winter tourism in Glasgow. Thank goodness you who have provided the information.

First stop was the Jameson’s Brewery tour in Midleton – Peter does like Jamesons. The old brewery buildings were lovely & the tour quite interesting, but the best bit for me was the comparative whisky tasting I got to take part in at the end. We compared a single malt, a bourbon & Jamesons. Since Jamesons is triple distilled it is very smooth (though smoothness is not always what you want in whisky!). Next we came to Lismore – a beautiful ancient town, with a cathedral & a castle & lovely walk along the Blackwater River. The monastery at Lismore was founded by St Carthage in 636AD! Makes everything in Australia, bar the Aboriginal sites of course, seem very, very nouveau. Unfortunately the Duke (of Devonshire) was not at home & I’m not sure he got my ATC request (must have been eaten by the Spam filter, I reckon) – so we had to carry on. My plan was that we take a narrow road through the mountains, but somehow we missed the turnoff, Peter got agitated about where we were spending the night & we headed for a main road. Just wondering, I figure its because they were all killed off by the romans and then by the anglo-saxons. Not sure? if this was true would there be something from the saxons left over? I was watching the history channel and it said the welsh people are the old brittons that where forced into their territories. If this is true do they have clans?
I am visiting Dublin Ireland as well as Greece in july and was planning on bringing a few summer dresses so I can pack more and still have it be carry on luggage, but I am unsure of how the weather usually is in Ireland around july, and will I need sweaters and or jeans?
