how many sightings have there been of the loch ness monster?

I read 24 percent of brits/uk are obese. Don’t know if its true. I can’t seem to find the percentage of Irish people who are obese anyone know?

I can find the percentages for american and uk but not Ireland.

I read that over 1,000 had failed in Ireland and Diageo was now thinking of shutting the Guiness brewery in Dublin. I see a fair number of bars now derelict in Scotland but the evidence is still anecdotal.

Obviously, he is known as having six wives, BUT, his marriage to Catherine of Aragon was classed as null and void because she had already married Henry VIII’s brother Arthur (at that point in history apparently you couldn’t marry two people from the same family!); and his marriage to Anne of Cleves was annulled because they didn’t consummate it and she was already betrothed to the Duke of Lorraine.

I was watching QI earlier and I missed the first half of the question, but it was to do with the amount of wives he had, and the above reasons were stated, so does anyone know the answer?

I have noticed that Google, Dell and Apple all have main European headquarters in Ireland. I was wondering why they choose Ireland to have their HQs?

I don’t mean holidays and practices and all of that. I mean art (The Acropolis) or the art inspired by pagan art like most of the Ren period and Celtic crosses of the Middle Ages. Great philosphers such as Plato or the huge discoveries in math and astronomy. Is this “rejected” too or appreciated for the beauty that it is, pagan or not?
For the record, while I consider myself pagan, I do not consider to the “we” in any culture but those of my ancestors.
So I’m all over the dragon boats and the Celtic crosses! But sadly, I not claim Plato. :(

By airplane. Also how long is the flight from birmingham to ireland? Thank you

Ok, so this is really my dream trip and I really don’t want to mess it up! I’m going to LONDON!! at the end of August. I am obsessed with the British culture and have wanted to go since I was 14. I really don’t want to run around London trying to make it to all the “must-sees” that usually end up being quite ordinary, especially since I’m only there for 4 days. I’m mostly looking forward to meeting the natives and I have a feeling I’d be much happier going to the English countryside because I really want to see the castles and beautiful stately homes that they use in films but I know I can’t really get that in London.

I’m completely confused on what to see and do! I know there’s the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, lots of museums and galleries, London Towers, Westminster Abbey, all the parks…it’s so overwhelming!

So please London natives or others who have travelled to London enough to know about it, what really are the “must-sees and dos”? What attarctions can I leave out if I want to get the most out of London in 4 days?

Many thanks!

ps; i know it’s late in london right now but it’s worth a shot lol.

You know it’s over when Van Morrison sings. I’ve told my family that when I die to make sure a Van Morrison song is the last song played at my wake, preferably, Into the Mystic.

From the Middle Ages to the present day, how many named periods of English history are there? e.g. Georgian, Victorian etc. Is there a time-line showing each era?
