You know it’s over when Van Morrison sings. I’ve told my family that when I die to make sure a Van Morrison song is the last song played at my wake, preferably, Into the Mystic.
From the Middle Ages to the present day, how many named periods of English history are there? e.g. Georgian, Victorian etc. Is there a time-line showing each era?
How many people live in the Highlands and the Islands of Scotland? Also, Do the Highlanders feel any kinship to Irish people because of shared Religion and blood (Gaelic/Celtic)?
I mean, the original word for the language is Gaeilge (Gaelic), not Éireannach (Irish). Referring to the language as “Irish Gaelic” avoids confusing it with the English language as spoken in Ireland and the Gaelic language as spoken in Scotland.
Ok, so I know the song from One Tree Hill (Tyler Hilton and Bethany Joy Lenz). Now I know that it wasn’t written by/for them and I knew when I heard it on the show for the first time that I had heard it before. Lately I have heard like 4 different versions of it from The Corrs and Bono, Ryan Adams and Tim McGraw. Does anyone know any other versions of the song that are out there? Also, does anyone know who wrote the song and who the original artist to sing it was?
I am currently taking Gaelic at my university and am wondering how many Irish people actually speak the language? Just curious and absolutely love the language.
Alright…but if the Irish are taught to knowGaelic from early childhood to “high school” then why do only little Irish actually know/speak Gaelic? Is a little confusing.
Wow…sorry to offend by saying Gaelic instead of Irish. Perhaps you do not realize that to some other countries it is referred to as Gaelic and not simply Irish. Don’t think I will be asking questions in this section anymore…some of you are really rude.
I do not have a bread machine, so no recipes for that. I will be kneading this by hand and my children will be helping as much as I can tolerate. Thanks in advance.
I have these ingredients: Salt, sugar, honey, molasses, brown sugar, butter, rapid rise three pack yeast, powdered milk
unbleached all purpose white flour
whole wheat white
whole wheat
wheat gluten
wheat germ and bran
tapioca flour
Potato flour
Bobs red mill 7 grain hot cereal
flax seed and meal
oatmeal- scottish; quick; old fashioned
xanthan gum
I have a bread recipe from allrecipes.com, but it calls for bread flour and active dry yeast what can I substitute with what I have. How does using the rapid rise yeast affect the rising of the bread? Will I still need 2 risings for shorter times or just 1? If I use 1 rise, should I form the loaves first, then bake? or do I form the loaves after they have risin?

Bakers arise and help me from loafing around. Thanks.
