For those who are interested in Welsh history and tales of rivalry and swashbuckling pirates Lleiniog has it all. Not to mention a reputation for having a variety of ghosts in the main house. Those fascinated by nature will love the property as it is home to bats, hares, barn owls and even slow worms and the odd adder basking in the sun. The part of the Menai Straits infront of the house is a triple SSI area and has the remains of a stone pier which can be seen at low tide. Dublin is also only a 90 minute sea crossing away so you can easily take a day trip to Ireland. Lleiniog Cottage was once two farm workers cottages. It is the largest of the three cottages and as well as having two large bedrooms one with a sink it has a sitting room with a wood burning stove and a dining room with an open fire. The refurbished bathroom complete with bath and separate shower unit is downstairs off the modernised kitchen. There is a very good quality double sofa bed in the sitting room so this could be used as a third bedroom. The bedrooms upstairs are both double bedrooms (one with a double bed & sink and the other with twin beds that can be linked together as well as a child’s bed and a single futon) Apart from the fires the cottage is heated with night storage heaters. There are two TV sets one with an inbuilt DVD player in the dining room and the sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and washing machine as well the usual microwave, oven, fridge/freezer and

Can someone help us find the next perfect Celtic Love Knot Tattoo that will symbolize “Eternity” or “Eternal”. I know it sounds goofy, but we want eternal/eternity on one side and love on the other. Thank you for any participation!!!!

What do you give the woman in your life?

Unless she specifically requests for one, a vacuum cleaner or a new set of pot and pans, no matter how much they cost, might well disappoint her. Practical though they may be, household gifts lack that special touch. You know the look on her face when she opens a gift she really loves. One that gives her that unexpected thrill?

You are more likely to get a genuinely thrilled response from her if you give her jewelry than if you were to give her a new apron or a new cupboard.

What if she already has everything?

All women love shiny things. Precious jewelry that catches her eye would certainly get her vote. It could be an absolutely gorgeous necklace that sets off her favorite dress beautifully. Or it could be a pair of stunning shoulder duster earrings that highlight her slender neck. Or it could be a cuff bracelet that makes a simple sheath dress look amazing.

When it comes to a birthday gift, nothing beats birthstone jewelry for her.

Birthstone jewelry is any kind of jewelry that is set with the gemstone of her birth month.

Who invented birthstone jewelry in the first place?

There are lots of theories as to the origins of birthstones.

One common belief is that these 12 birthstones originated from the breastplate worn by the high priest of the Jews. Each gemstone representing one tribe of Israel and later, representing one month of the year.

These 12 gemstones are beryl, topaz, ruby, turquoise, lapis lazuli, emerald, jacinth, agate, amethyst, crysolite, onyx and jasper.

Astrologers associated the gemstones with each zodiac sign. As each zodiac month overlaps largely with the calendar month, the monthly birthstone list can be derived from the zodiac birthstone.

The Tibetans, in ancient Tibet, had their own birthstone list. That list of mystical birthstones is more than a thousand years old.

Even the Indians have their Ayurverdic birthstone list, based on that branch of medicine originating from India.

Eventually, in 1912, a modern birthstone list was compiled by the National Association of Jewelers in Kansas with a specific gemstone associated with each month of the year. This is the list accepted in U.S.

According to this modern birthstone list, the birthstone for January is garnet. For february, the gemstone is amethyst. March calls for aquamarine, April’s gemstone is the diamond. May’s birthstone is Emerald. For June, the birthstone is Pearl. Ruby is the july birthstone while peridot is August’s birthstone. September calls for Sapphire. October’s birthstone is Opal. November calls for Citrine and the December birthstone is Turquoise.

Throughout history, mankind has been fascinated with gemstones. Their color, beauty and rarity cause men to prize them. So much so that many stories and superstitions surround the various gemstones.

Lore or not. Gemstones are beautiful and that alone makes them wonderful gifts for women. The way they enhance the wearer’s looks, like the icing on the cake make birthstone jewelry wonderful jewelry gifts for women.

The great thing about birthstones is that they make great personalized gifts for women. After all, that gemstone is chosen based on her birth month. When you want to get a woman jewelry and aren’t too sure which gemstone to get, you could use any of these lists as a guide.

Yes, diamonds are a girls best friend and no woman would protest if you give her diamonds. But if you want to get her something more affordable, you could go for one of the more affordable gemstones for her month.

Welsh gold and love spoons are both cherished by the citizens of Wales. Welsh love spoons are a traditional symbol of love and has been a custom since the 17th century. They were carved by men from one piece of wood and were embellished with intricate knots and delicate designs. The love spoons were then presented to the women they loved. It was the ideal form of proposal before diamond rings played a part. Now you can have both of Wales most loved possessions as a symbol of your heritage. Clogau gold has a love spoon collection of jewellery made out of rare Welsh gold.

Each design carved into a wooden love spoon has a particular meaning. For example a love spoon with a cross represented a lover’s faith in the Lord and how he would remain just as faithful to his beloved. A flower carved into a love spoon symbolizes that he is making an attempt at courting the woman he is presenting the spoon to and declaring his love. A horseshoe is a symbol of good luck. A vine represents a man’s growing love for the woman he is pursuing. Celtic knots are common designs carved into love spoons which symbolize the everlasting love for one another. A love spoon made out of Welsh gold is the ideal romantic gift for anyone to present their loved one. Clogau gold has a love spoon collection which includes rings, earrings, bracelets as well as several pendants and necklaces. These love spoons are offered in a combination of rose and yellow gold or silver and rose gold.

All of the Clogau gold collection contains a touch of rare Welsh gold mined from the Snowdonia Mountains.  If you visit the National History museum in St. Fagans, Cardiff you will get the chance to see the oldest known love spoon. Clogau gold also has a love spoon ring with a topaz stone which would be ideal for someone who wishes to propose. It could represent the modern day promise ring or eternity ring for couples who like to celebrate their commitment to one another. The best part of wearing this gold is that you have a piece of your Welsh heritage wherever you go. Welsh gold is becoming rarer by the day as the supply is diminishing. It would be a good idea to buy Welsh gold while it is still readily available. Birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, weddings and many other milestones in life are the perfect opportunities to invest in this gold.

If you want to stay true to tradition, Clogau gold also offers a wooden love spoon which you can present to your significant other. The wooden love spoon from Clogau gold has a padlock and multiple hearts carved into it. The padlock symbolizes that you will stay faithful and true to the relationship while the hearts represent your affection. Culture and tradition are important to remember and pass down from generation to generation. Welsh gold jewellery is an heirloom you can pass down and also a way to preserve your heritage.

Welsh Gold is the most rarest type of gold in the world. Clogau gold is one of the few jewellery manufacturers that incorporate a touch of Welsh gold in every piece. Please visit http://www.welshgold.co.uk to learn more about the history and legacy of Clogau gold.

The holy matrimony has long since been symbolized by the exchanging of wedding bands. This is because the never-ending circle of the wedding ring represents everlasting commitment and love to the spouse. As such, a wedding can never be complete without the rings. Now, while there are people who are content with simple silver or gold wedding bands, some of which may be set with precious stones, there are others that are heavy with symbolism when it comes to their rings. As such, there are now a great number of couples who go for Celtic wedding bands because symbols seem to be synonymous with these rings.

Symbols of Love and Commitment

Celtic wedding bands are touted as among the most exquisite wedding rings because of their intricate designs and knotworks that are considered not only as graceful but also highly symbolic. As such, these wedding rings are seen as the perfect symbols of love and commitment for those who are planning to get married.

Although not all of the Celtic wedding rings contain the very popular knotworks that seem to be their main characteristic, it can still be seen that other types of Celtic wedding bands like the Claddagh wedding bands are still full of symbols. The Claddagh wedding rings feature the symbols of two joined hands that are holding a heart, which has a crown on top of it. The hands symbolize friendship, the heart is for love, and the crown is for loyalty.

The other Celtic wedding bands that feature the well-known knotwork are also seen as veritable symbols for enduring love. Their interwoven knots that have no beginning and no end speak of interconnected paths for all eternity. There are many couples who see these knots as representations of both their lives, which have been brought together by their love, which they pray will last forever.

Choosing the Symbolic Celtic Wedding Bands

With the wealth of craftsmen who have been inspired to make Celtic wedding bands, there is no shortage of designs to choose from when it comes to these rings. While there are traditional designs that have been patterned after the ancient silver or gold Celtic wedding bands of the past, there are also more modern bamds that have designs incorporated with a modern touch. An example of this is Celtic Claddagh wedding bands that incorporate the conventional Celtic knotwork with the Claddagh. As such, instead of just symbolizing intertwined lives governed by everlasting love, this kind of gold or silver Celtic wedding bands also represent the friendship and loyalty symbols of the Claddagh as well. So if you want to merge the symbolisms of both the ancient Celtic knotwork with that of the Claddagh, then you will have rings of this kind at your disposal.

Celtic wedding bands may be manufactured in Ireland but they are distributed all over the world, so no one will have any difficulty in procuring them. Aside from brick and mortar jewelry shops, these wedding rings are also very much available in online shops that specialize in Irish and Celtic jewelry.
