Spirit of Place: Scotland’s Great Whisky Distilleries

I have never been to Ireland or Scotland and will soon be traveling there for about 9 days. I would like to steer away from touristy things and enjoy the beautiful countryside and coastlines. What is your favorite thing to see – something I should be sure to see while there!

We have two kids and have a modest income. What areas are nice to live in but affordable? Because many people tell me that Edinburgh is a very expensive place to live. Is the city centre cheaper?

I am looking for a good place to stay in Edinburgh. My family and I will be visiting in the end of July. My daughters are 11 and 8. I need some where that isn’t too expensive. I have looked into B&Bs and Guesthouses but, what type of place is better..those or a hotel? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Im Looking for good value for money cycle trousers for the winter, Im not too keen on buying them online incase they dont fit etc…
Mountain Warehouse is usually quite good at Fort Kinnaird but they dont have much in the way of Value (cheap)
