In film “Braveheart”, William Wallace played by Mel Gibson dies shouting “Freedom!!”. But considering the concept or term of “freedom” became popular after John Locke and JS Mill, is this historically accurate or possible? I don’t know much about history, so any expert’s opinion would be appreciated.) Thank you in advance.
I am not questioning his historical achievement. My question is about the use of the specific term “freedom” in the film.
For example, if i buy a topaz bicone swarovski bead, is the bead really made out of the stone topaz or is it just crystal in the color “topaz”?

I just got a 12 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the only thing that really bothers me is how much this puppy eats. He isn’t aggressive when he eats, he just eats really, really fast and no matter how much food I put for him he eats all of it then goes to the food bag and begs for more. The breeder said to feed him 1/2 a cup of food twice a day, but as active as this puppy is I know that is too little. I don’t want to cause him to be overweight, but I also don’t want to starve the poor thing.
I am looking for an answer from someone who either has corgis or knows a lot about them. ![]()
Thanks!
It seems to me that humans as a whole seem to repeat mistakes in their individual lives and in communal settings throughout the generations. The only real ‘difference’ between now and past millenia is the addition of ‘technology’. However, how persons react or respond to stimuli: current problems and how the come with the ‘answers’ they arise to is the same.
Jane still allows Tarzan to beat her and drag her around. Persons still complain about the ‘chieftains’ yet do nothing…. a ‘unique’ individual stumbles upon an idea and others bastardize the concept and take advantage of the individual…. Another disease arises… another war for the sake of a ‘god’… sacrifice of the individual for the sake of ‘society’…
I’m not sure I spelled it correctly, I heard it on PBS.
I’m curious about it’s origins and history if anyone knows please share.
