I know its an Irish thing, and I know it has something to do with no beginning and no end. But what do people use it for, like meanings, and occasion’s?

I love rings, but I am not interested in having a traditional style engagement ring. I do like stones, but only if they are smaller and inside the band (so that it’s more smooth without a stone sticking up).

I also don’t know if I like the idea of two rings together. I never liked the look. I do like the idea of two rings that looks like one (like a wrap), but again, I don’t want the stones.

I debate not wanting an engagement ring. If I don’t want to wear two rings, why buy two rings? Does anyone know of any options that might work? I like the idea behind the Celtic knot rings, how the two pieces come together as one but not sure if I like the look.

Are there rings for Italians like there are Claddagh RIngs for Irish people or people who have an Irish heritage? I am Italian and I want to get a ring that symbolizes my Italian Heritage. Any help would be great! Thanks

I’m thinking about giving my boyfriend a claddagh ring but I’m not sure if he’ll think it’s strange. I think the meaning behind the claddagh ring is special. I know that it’s not really always “the thing” for guys to wear jewelry so I was wondering if some men (or women even) would share their opinion on this. Is it strange for a man to wear a claddagh ring?
Also, I know what the ring means and yes, I am extremely Irish (if anyone was wondering). I was just wondering what men think about wearing them.

Hello! Im leaving for the Navy in April and wanted to give my boyfriend a promise ring on Valentines Day so he has something special from me (and then we’ll both have one :]).

Ive been looking everywhere online but cant seem to find what Im looking for (for less than $200, that is. I have no monies); a Celtic design and an engraving option. I thought a tungsten ring would be perfect but one site I went to said they dont engrave tungsten rings because the engraving isnt easily read.

Um…actually, plenty of men get promise rings from women they love. Its a symbol of devotion when they cant get married right then.

I heard from my a roommate that after a team wins a championship, (say, the Celtics this past season) the players have to purchase those championship rings. I had always thought they were given them by the franchise for free. Any clarity here?
