Among the four. And why?


A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Stirling, United Kingdom by TravelPod blogger Stevea titled “William Wallace and Robert the Bruce”. TravelPod is a company of TripAdvisor™. Stevea’s travel blog entry: “It was the Saturday of my last weekend before starting work, so we decided to get out of Glasgow for a day and head to Stirling. The two attractions for us at Stirling were of course the castle, and The Wallace Monument. So we hopped on a bus from Buchanan Bus Station and headed to Stirling, about 40 minutes away. It was a nice short journey, and my first glimpse of rural Scotland. I was excited. We jumped of the bus, grabbed a map, and headed along the wall of the city up to the castle. I had heard Stirling be described as a ‘mini-Edinburgh’. As far as the castle goes, they are quite similar. The castle is situated on a volcanic rocky crag, overlooking the city (and Stirling is a city – not a town!), just like Edinburgh. The internals of the castle are similar two. After paying up front and becoming a member of Historic Scotland, we tagged along for a tour around the castle and learnt lots about the buildings and it’s history. Two things stand out for me from Stirling Castle. The first is the Palace, as stunning medieval palace, with very menacing looking gargoyles representing the devil place around it’s exterior. Inside was amazing too. It is in the process of been refurbished to it’s original look, but at the moment is pretty much and archaeological
