The group of islands off the west coast of Europe which contains Great Britain, Ireland, the Hebrides, the Isle of Man, and surrounding islands generally known as the British Isles; should they be called something else as the “British” part may lead some people to believe it is all politically part of the UK?

My boyfriend and I are planning to move to Scotland (hes scottish and wants to move back home). We are hoping to go by the end of the year, but we are trying to save but are finding it incredibly hard to do so whilst still living in london.

Should we get a loan out so we can move up there asap (next month type thing!) or stay here and try and save?

I am going to Ireland for a little over 5 months during a study abroad program in Galway. I would like to know what service is the best for coverage and best for pricing.

This includes where an Englishman, Scotsman or Welshman cannot stand for election in any other country bar the one they were born in.

Currently Welsh and Scottish MP’s vote in the English Parliament and a Welsh Assembly or Scottish Parliament. Should Wales and Scotland be responsible for raising there own taxes and revenue, whilst setting their own laws and dealing with their own issues?

Im going to Ireland in September and was wondering what sort of shoes should i take? I was going to wear flat (Im a woman) along with a pair of rain boots. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Im spending alittle over a month in london. I already visited Big ben, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, The British Museum (plan to go back), Windsor Castle. I plan to go to Shakespeares Globe Theathre soon. But what else can i do? Any reccomendations?

Update: thanks for the suggestion guys. For me the coolest one was definately the jack the ripper tour. Wich is going to be a must for me now.

Ok so me and my bf broke up because all he did was talk and didnt do, like actions really do speak louder than words. i had a difficult pass with guys..ive been used for sex with a guy i really liked for the first time last yr and it was the worst pain i ever felt emotionally. ive told him this so it took me a while to trust my bf completely. he said he trusted me and loved me but i wasnt buying it because he never did anything to prove his words. never complemented when i looked nice, never was passionate around and really boring. like once he wanted to get me something for my birthday but he was going to get me a boston celtics jersey instead of a lilttle necklace or bracelet,didnt have to be expensive but something i could carry daily to think about him throughout the day. so i told him he didnt have to get me the jersey, i like the celtics but the idea of it made me uncomfortable. i got mad at him many times because he rarely satisfied me he always did too little and i always had to tell him what to do like he was some little kid like why i have to tell him u to hug me from time to time its common sense….

so we broke up and now he doesnt want to talk to me anymore..like it wasnt that serious. hes acting like i hurt him that bad um hello ive been used for sex and disrespected by someone i loved and ive just only told him everything hes doig wrong and hes acting like i did so much damage to him. ive tried to make things work but hes acting like a little ***** right now ignoring my msgs and being all cold and i damn well know i loved him more than he loved me but i dont know hes trying to deny that either because of his ego or hes just clueless

I am a Sri Lankan student reading for masters in Ireland. I am planning to bring my wife here for 3 months on a visit/tourist visa. I would be very much grateful to you if you can give me a rough estimate of the amount that we have to show in (either my or her) bank account statements in order to obtain visa?
