Had to upload this because I dnt think its on here Lyrics: Yes my granny is a cripple in Nashville, friends This story I tell you true One day she went out on her wheelchair Never knowing it had a loose screw Well a wheel came off of that wheelchair, friends And on three wheels it trundled away And it trundled right over the edge of a cliff In an old seaside town far away (Country and Western noises) Now the boy who was pushing the wheelchair Was a little blind orphan call Joe And he said, “Oh where is my grannie?” And where did that damn wheelchair go Well he ran off to search for that wheelchair friends But his sightless eyes led him astray And he ran right over the edge of the cliff In that old seaside town far away (Country and Western noises) Well somebody sent for a doctor And an ambulance too, it was called And the people who lived in the neighbourhood Stood around and they cried, how they balled Well the doctor and the ambulance came rushing, friends They were rushing from two different ways And they crashed with a BIFF and shot over the cliff In that old seaside town far away (Country and Western noises) Well they sent for brave Father Maloney To pray for the poor souls repose And he said, “Well now that we’re gathered here, good people” “Well we might as well pray I suppose” But too many people had gathered And the edge of the cliff gave way And they dropped with a yell and they all shot straight to hell In that old seaside town so terribly far away (Country and …
H’away Ulster-Scot, H’away cross the sea To lands that were open and promised to me I’m not afraid to fight, on the frontier I will be All across the Empire is home from home to me From the Lowlands and the Borders, from East and from the West We sent our sons and daughters, all of them our best They went in their thousands, for land and dignity O’er the sea to Ulster, a planter I will be My children heard the callin of the lands far away In 18 to America then down to Botany Bay They went in their thousands, for land and dignity And Uncle Davy Crockett was waitin there for me A thousand years on the frontier has made me what I am No stronger friend you’ll ever need, no fiercer foe to hand No man has left a greater mark on all democracy I am the Ulster-Scot, proud bred in liberty

I saw my sufficiency in countries far away, Gold and silver, the wealth of the life My heart rises in me with the break of the day, And me drawing closer to the land of my people! Over the waves, going west, going west! Good-bye to loneliness and to the distant land; It brightens my heart and the sun, Happy to be returning to Ireland! People of the West, they’re the friends of my heart, Welcome and celebration before me on every side. Leaving this life I pray to the Lord That it’s with their ancestors in the grave I will be! Over the waves, going west, going west! Good-bye to loneliness and to the distant land; It brightens my heart and the sun, Happy to be returning to Ireland!

John Thompson, former Celtic goalkeeper sadly died before his time during an Old Firm derby. The Scotland international died as a result of an accidental collision with the Rangers player Sam English. Thompson was a truly magnificent goalkeeper, he thought of nothing but keeping his eye on the ball and if the ball was there to be won he had to go for it. It’s a shame that such commitment caused his premature death. Irish Brigade sing this version. Tal
