k since I wanna become a druid I gotta know the names of all the celtic gods and goddesses and Celtic stories. But obvioulsy you cant teach me all of them so i just need to know the names of the gods and what their the god of and HOW celtic religion began in Ireland- for example: christianity started because Jesus taught it to everyone in Roman times. And one more thing do people still practice Celtic mythology? its so sad how Celtic is becoming extinct… Any sites were i can learn to practice celtic? And what is the celtic symbol for the religion for example-for christains its a cross and for jews its a star.

I’m planning on doing a Higher Diploma in Education in Ireland. Is it possible for me to teach in Northern Ireland with this qualification or is there any specific training that I have to do after I have done my HDipEd?
Thanks!

Are you taught about Owain Glyndwr? The Rebecca Riots? The Gododdin? The Mabinogi? The history of the Welsh language- the Welsh Not, Trechary of the Blue Books? The industrial revolution? The Celts? The drowning of Capel Celyn village?

When I was in school, I was never taught any of those things, and I think these are really important events in Wales’ history. We were taught British i.e English history.

So, I’m just interested if lessons have changed. And if you haven’t been taught these things, I really think you should find out a bit about them, because they’re really interesting!

I’m thinking of doing a primary education degree in Edinburgh, but have recently been told that you can only teach in Scotland – is this true? I’m not planning on staying in Scotland for the rest of my life, so this would be helpful! Another thing, what is better, if any, a general degree with a PGCE or an education degree leading to QTS (bearing in mind I want to be a primary school teacher.) Any answers would be grately received. Thank you!
