I’m planning a trip to Isle of Skye, Scotland. I live in the US. What’s the easiest, cheapest way to get there? I’m thinking of taking a flight to London, then perhaps a train from London to Kyle of Lochalsh. I was also considering flying from London to Glasgow and driving from Glasgow to the Island. Anyone ever been there and traveled from either the US or from London? Any suggestions on what route and methods of transportation would be most cost efficient? Thanks!

I know about the Royal Mile, Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Any other suggestions? I am taking a group of high school students and I want ideas for 2 days.
How can my girl friend from the Philippines get a job in Ireland so she can get a work visa?
We can pay for flights, visa and accommodation.
I am trying to get some information on clinical trials and thought it would be great to go to a pharma company and get some insights. Does anyone know if there are pharma companies in Scotland and specifically around Dundee, Fife or Edinburgh? Thanks!
Back in the day, when there was free land and small villages living on there own. Kind of like “the Shire” from Lord of the Rings and things like that.
If i was going on a business trip to Ireland from America, is there anything i should know about their verbal or non verbal communications. Or what Americans may think is appropriate, but Irish people don’t?

I don’t plan on becoming the least bit official Wicca (although I might become eclectically druidic — I’m still soul-searching and all that). I was reading a book on Wicca, however, and I found this idea of a Summerland. When I was a little kid, I believed in a thing similar to that, where you go to a heavenly place, have fun, reflect, and then go back into the world as another person. I never really liked the more new-age and hindu versions of reincarnation, and I thought that I, as a little kid, just made up some random spiritual idea. So I dropped reincarnation from my beliefs.
Now though, this idea of a Summerland has me jumping up and down in excitement. The only thing that’s holding me back from really adopting the idea permanently is that, because I haven’t researched much, I’m beginning to believe Gardner himself created the concept himself. I know, I know: Wicca is based on ancient religion, but I’m talking about a specific concept here.
So if anybody has any or remembers any history (preferrably celtic) that mentions this Summerland concept, I’d love to hear from you!
Sorry Lilith, I tend to dilute my question with a load of sentences. What I mean is, the Hebrew Tanakh is many millenia old; it has history, and therefore, a type of metaphysical “weight”. I’m looking for some evidence, maybe from an old bard’s song or runic carvings or something, that references the Summerland concept.
I have noticed that Google, Dell and Apple all have main European headquarters in Ireland. I was wondering why they choose Ireland to have their HQs?
