Long Black Veil, by many artists. My version is sortof a mix between Johnny Cash’s version, and The Chieftains’ version (with Mick Jagger on lead vocal). “Long Black Veil” – Joe Hurley with The Chieftains at Count Basie Theatre, Red Hook NJ – 3/12/09. This was the first song Joe sang as the featured guest vocalist with the legendary Chieftains that night. Both Joe Hurley (with his ballad ‘Amsterdam Mistress’) and The Chieftains are featured on the recent Sony Music CD “Whiskey in the Jar – Essential Irish Drinking Songs.”
