I have been Kilted for five years, but only around the house, and on special occasions such as weddings, holidays and celtic festivals.

Living in Dallas Texas, I see a few going out in public (outside the special occasions I mentioned) at times in their Utility Kilts (or UK’s). I know for the few times I had worn my out, in transit, people stare and ask silly questions. No big deal, but my wife really wants me to go full time in the kilt, whether going out for a bite to eat or just running around.

She says it’s now my image. I am not sure if I am ready. I am scared my wife will be disappointed if I do not meet her half way.

What do you think?
Actually at times, she goes out wearing no underwear, no bras or panties–Only when she wants to be sexy in club clothes.
Kilts are not homo. For me, it’s not to be the center of attention all the time. You tend to get a lot of smiles, and make friends easy Kilted, but it gets daunting never ending.

But they got slaughtered on the fields of BANNOCKBURN never to return.

You see them when watching the warriors of Braveheart racing through the glen or perhaps swirling around men’s waists in TV images from the annual Highland Games. They’re bright with tartan, crowned with sporran and have a dirk hanging boldly to the side. They’re kilts of course, and admittedly have a certain style. But do these garments have any place in the modern world? Ask any Scotsman, and you’ll find the answer is a resounding ‘aye’. So what role does this wrap around garment of tartan have in today’s age of designer fashion?

Firstly in today’s global village, more and more people find the need to connect with their roots and find their identity. Scotsmen are spread out across the globe both as emigrants and expatriates. And wherever they are, many feel the need to find their roots and reclaim their identity.

This sense of identity can involve far more than just being Scottish, for the tartan of the kilt is also associated with Scottish clans or families. In addition, tartans can also represent districts, counties, countries, corporations, States and Provinces, or schools and universities. So the wearing of a tartan can create this sense of belonging to a long and noble tradition..

From this tradition comes a sense of pride in being Scottish and the inheritor of an unique history and culture. In fact, the kilt played a key role in the development of the forging of the identity of Scotland as a nation. Originally the garb of the Highland minority, Highland wear became the symbol of Scottish independence after the Jacobite rebellions against the prohibition of the wearing of Highland garb in 1746. While formerly it was just the highland Scots who sported the kilt, the Lowland Scots showed their rebellion against the English by donning the kilt and sporran.

There’s also the simple fact that kilts just look so good. If you need any proof, just take a look at Sir Sean Connery in full Highland attire to see how distinguished the kilt wearer is. It was, another knight, Sir Colin Campbell, Brigadier-General of the Queen’s 93rd ‘Sutherland’ Highlanders, who summed up the style and status of the kilt so perfectly in the evocative phrase, “A man in a kilt is a man and a half.”

So if you’re ready to find your Scottish roots, take the plunge and don the kilt. You’ll not only reconnect with your roots but you’ll look quite distinguished in the process.

If you want to express yourself with jewellery, you can do it very easily with gold bracelets. Even in situations when you are limited with the amount of jewellery you can wear, you can still create a look that is truly your own and anyone will be able to tell what kind of person you are just by one look at your wrist. In fact, there are cultures where a woman declares her status with the bracelets that she wears. Gold bracelets and bangles jewellery can help you express your personality.

Dressing up and matching your outfits with gold bracelets and bangles jewellery is also a lot of fun. These bangles and bracelets come in all sorts of forms and designs so that you can mix and match them with your clothes to your heart’s content. It is not tricky to do that at all, and here are a few ideas that you can use.

1.Going to work. Many workplaces enforce a strict dress code amongst their employees. Whilst it is far too tempting to put some sparkle on a dark-coloured suit with the use of jewellery, it is always advised to resist the temptation of putting on one too many. For one, it may not conform with the image that the company is trying to project. For another, you can distract your co-workers with the noise that your jewellery can make. A pair of bangles jewellery, matched with a simple brooch or a pair of earrings, are enough to dress up your corporate attire.

2.Going on a date or a night out. When it comes to going out on a date or a night out with friends, your choice of bracelets or bangles depends on the kind of look you want to project for that night. If you want to go for flirty and fun, a set of gold bangles will do the trick. If you want to go for the soft and feminine look, you may want to try charm bracelets done in the style of fanciful Celtic jewellery. A dramatic gold cuff with semi-precious stones is a good choice if you want to project a feminine but independent image.

3.Spending a day of casual fun. If you plan to spend your day doing something fun, like shopping or taking a stroll at the park, you can definitely use this day as an opportunity to look nice with a few gold bracelets around your wrists, even if you are not dressed to the hilt. For example, charm bracelets look very nice no matter what you wear, even if it is just a plain old pair of jeans, a shirt and rubber flip-flops. Do make sure that you are dressed appropriately for your planned activities. For one, you should not really wear charm bracelets if you intend to go for a long hike because you might end up damaging your bracelet.

You should have a few gold bracelets in your jewel box. They are fun to wear and fun to match with your clothes. They look good on anything. Also, they are great in helping you express your own personal style.
