After listening to Lynn on ” Songs From The Heart ” and watching the Video I was much Impressed.
so that was my reason to purchase ” Take Me With You ”
After listening to this I was NOT SO IMPRESSED even to the point of removing it from all the Mac I Tunes and both I Pods.
Not sure if it is the studio recording but I rather think it is because she has none of the other Gals helping her.
Lynn has a very beautiful voice but the CD is bad, Even 2 stars is a compliment

Lynn Hilary sings songs that are a staple of the Celtic Woman repetoire, plus some new material not included in Celtic Woman group releases. The solo releases by the individual
members of the group are a little less magical than the group efforts – that includes this one. See one of their live shows — and if you can’t, see them on DVD to get a taste ofthis magical group.

Lynn’s solo CD is a wonderful blend of many types of music. There is Folk, Pop, Jazz and Celtic. The instruments that used are from piano, to volin, to guitar and is well blended with Lynn’s beautiful voice. Her voice is like no other. From the song “Melody of Life” to “Angel of Doves” this is an amazing album. Lynn like all Celtic Women is an amazing vocalist whether singing solo or together with Celtic Woman. This album is a must buy (like all Celtic Woman albums!!!)

Well, I officially received the rest of the Celtic Woman albums from Amazon and Lynn’s solo CD to boot.
First, I absolutely love the easy-going, laid-back air of this album – there is a kind of “lazy” feel to it. It’s very pleasant and relaxing. The instrumentation and arrangement to the songs are actually quite simple, predominantly driven by the acoustic guitar and the piano, with a very folksy theme. Not only does it create the mellow atmosphere, but it makes everything sound so natural and organic. Lynn, if anything, exhibits a lovely, gentle voice. For those who have known Lynn through Celtic Woman, this album reveals something about Lynn that we didn’t get to see in her performances. The style is totally different and you just get the impression that this kind of music is “her thing”. Everything about her singing and the music sounds so utterly innate and natural, it’s like the music is a reflection of Lynn herself. And it is only far better that on top of the pure nature of the music, Lynn has an amazing voice. The overall quality of the sound and music is quite beautiful.
I have to say, my favorite song would have to be “Sunset of Gold”, a duet between Lynn and man (his name remains unknown to me) whose voice is excellent. The lyrics are really sweet and cute and the song is beautifully executed. The songs really are beautiful in terms of their lyrics and the ideas they address. There are a few upbeat numbers thrown in the song list (Swimming in the Barrow, Carolina Rua, Road to Glory), although I think I would have enjoyed maybe just one or two more of them. They are characterized by a light-heartedness and are very enjoyable and fun to listen to. I love, love, the fact that there is a consistent theme present throughout all the songs and it is all so CHILL, for a lack of better terms. This is the perfect CD to pop into the radio of your car when you feel like you need to wind-down, take a breather, or just feel like being lazy. It “takes you away” to a place where you feel peaceful and at ease.
Lynn is LEGIT!
