Wow! What a beautiful beautiful version of Haunts of Ancient Peace, including an amazing sax solo by PW Ellis – the song brought tears to my eyes. A powerful spiritual beauty it’s impossible to describe – you can only feel it.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better live performance.

It’s a shame the audio quality is sibilant.

This is extraordinary. This is when Morrison was probably at his best in performances. He appears as if he’s on another “Wavelength” during the entire set and the band is unbelievably musically gifted as well as being entirely in sync with Morrison’s sound and vision. He is a difficult individual to pin down, and, at times, even to like, but he has a gift that defies description and the ability to lift his listeners into another dimension (spiritual ground?) that few human beings possess.
