I am having my final meeting with the event manager at the hall where our reception will be and I have to have a list of a good idea for some songs at the wedding. My fiance and I are both graduating from college this year, so it is about a 50/50 split for our age groups… we have people from 17-22 and then a lot of people who are 45+ so I am trying to find a good mix of songs for people to dance to that both age groups can get into.

Thanks in advance!

Have some 70s and 80s songs that everyone knows like Bust A Move (Young MC), Kiss (Prince), Oh What A Night (Frankie Valley and The Four Seasons), Take Me Home Country Road John Denver, Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison) then have some classic songs by Elvis, Frank Sinatra, etc. then add all the stuff that you guys like whatever that may be. Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake gets everyone moving. Michael Bubble appeals to young and old. I love love Buy Your Side by Sade for a slow dance. I also love I Wanna Grow Old With You from the Wedding Singer. I would just lay off the stuff that’s raunchy for a wedding. AKA no Milkshake, Humps, etc. Just remember though, it’s your wedding first and foremost so pick your favorites and don’t worry if it’s not everyone else’s thing. Doing a google search on non-cheesy wedding songs may help too.

When you have the older generation present, 50’s music is always fun and goes over well with most groups.
