What were the effects of Henry VIII’s break from the Catholic Church, particularly on Christianity and the people of England?

How or why was the Break significant to Christianity?

I would like as much detail/information as possible, please and thanks.

The Catholic church was strongly against divorce at the time. He wanted to divorce his wife because she wasn’t producing him an heir to the throne (aka a son) It was a power issue, and since the church wouldn’t allow him to divorce his wife because obviously thats not a good reason to divorce your wife he left the church and began the anglican church.
