I’m looking for a pattern using celtic knot work in cables. I would like to find something other than the basic celtic cable, and after a few days of searching, I’m not finding anything more intricate. I would like to make a blanket, with either interlocking knot work, or something in which I can have a repeating pattern of the trinity knot or a celtic cross. I dunno something other than the basic celtic cable. Thank-you for your time and help.

Melissa Leapman has several great books on Celtic cables and how to make them. If you’re very lucky, you might be able to find one through your public library.
I took her class last month at the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival. Her books are definitely on my list of books to buy!

Sound good that your challenging yourself. I have been knitting for about 3 years now and still tring to manage. I have found one of the best sites for finding new knitting patterns as well as getting advice from other fellow knitters. It’s called Ravelry. I have posted a link to it for your veiwing pleasure.
I quickly searched for “free cables” on the website under the patterns and it pulled 156 pages with like 15 patterns on each page. I hope you are able to check it out.
