I have been Kilted for five years, but only around the house, and on special occasions such as weddings, holidays and celtic festivals.
Living in Dallas Texas, I see a few going out in public (outside the special occasions I mentioned) at times in their Utility Kilts (or UK’s). I know for the few times I had worn my out, in transit, people stare and ask silly questions. No big deal, but my wife really wants me to go full time in the kilt, whether going out for a bite to eat or just running around.
She says it’s now my image. I am not sure if I am ready. I am scared my wife will be disappointed if I do not meet her half way.
What do you think?
Actually at times, she goes out wearing no underwear, no bras or panties–Only when she wants to be sexy in club clothes.
Kilts are not homo. For me, it’s not to be the center of attention all the time. You tend to get a lot of smiles, and make friends easy Kilted, but it gets daunting never ending.

I think men in kilts are craaazy sexy! But you have a point–if you are uncomfortable wearing it all the time, you shouldn’t have to. Wearing it all the time IS meeting her ALL the way, not half way. Tell her how you feel honestly if you haven’t already. She should understand. If not, I would have to wonder about her controlling aspect.

Tell Your wife straight that you have been to use to the image that she want you to be but really cannot make it. Tell her all your feeling in a nice and gentle voice so that she will feel easy and will not be so angry after listening to what you have said. Of course she will feel some disappointment but i think she will understand and care about your feeling.
Don’t force yourself if not it will cause serious problem in the end.

Well, there’s a lot to be said for easy access. Unless it is cold then shrinkage can be embarrassing. However, and I may be wrong, I think I detect a little bit of a cuckold thing going on here.
If she ever asks you to wear women’s clothes at home while she goes commando at bars, I’d get a little worried. You have to be the one that puts the stops on this unless you can start delegating what she is to wear around town. Ask her if she will wear a collar with a chain on it around town.
Bet the kilt requests drop off after that.
